This project began with a clear goal: create a complete waterfowl property built around dependable water, quality habitat, and efficient hunting opportunities. Through careful planning and hands on development, the property was transformed into a more functional and diverse recreational landscape.
A new Green Tree Reservoir was designed and constructed to create premium flooded timber habitat. We also developed a new 40 acre duck field, which included leveling the field and engineering water control systems to provide greater control over flooding and drainage throughout the season.
A new three phase electric well was installed to provide a dependable water source, while custom water control structures were implemented across the property. Two custom made duck blinds were also installed and positioned to complement the layout of the habitat and provide comfortable, effective hunting locations.
Our forestry mulching work opened and improved key areas throughout the property, creating better water movement, stronger habitat conditions, and more productive hunting opportunities.
During the development process, we were also able to work with the landowner to acquire a neighboring property. This expansion provided additional food sources and wildlife habitat while making the overall property more diverse. The added acreage strengthened the waterfowl component and introduced a more significant whitetail opportunity, giving the landowner the ability to pursue both ducks and deer across one well planned recreational property.
The result is a thoughtfully developed property that combines flooded timber, managed fields, dependable water, improved access, and diverse wildlife habitat. Every component was designed to work together and create a property that can be hunted, managed, and enjoyed for years to come.
